Getting started
Key terms
Organization, member, client, candidate, opportunity, application, placement, and license — the words the partner portal and the job seeker workspace actually use.

These are the objects in the product. Later guides assume them.
Organization
The placement team’s account. It has a name, members, a mailbox, candidates, clients, and a license. Everyone on that team shares one portal at /partner. The public page at /partners is not an organization.
If you belong to more than one organization, the portal sidebar switches the active one. The choice is remembered for the next visit.
Member
A person on the organization. The role is Admin or Coach. Status is active or removed. Only active members pass the portal check. The team list labels coaches as Recruiter. The permission model still calls that role Coach. See Roles.
Client
An employer company the organization works. Clients are listed at /partner/clients. Each client has a page for contacts, opportunities, and activity. Admins can manage any client. A coach can manage the client they own, which defaults to the person who onboarded it.
Candidate
A job seeker the organization represents. Candidates are listed at /partner/candidates. A profile holds contact details, an optional resume, skills, and an assigned coach. Admins can manage any candidate. A coach can manage candidates they created or are assigned to.
This is separate from a job seeker’s own Kyrolane account. A candidate record belongs to the organization.
Opportunity
A job opening tied to a client. On the client page, opportunities include roles found from that employer’s careers page. Outreach history refers to the opportunity a pitch was sent for.
Application
Two products use this word.
In the partner portal, an application is outreach sent for a candidate: an intro pitch or a fuller profile share, tracked on that candidate. In the job seeker workspace, an application is a role you sent from /applications.
Placement
A recorded hire. Candidate import can store one when a row has both client_name and position, along with optional dates and fees. Placements also show up in portal reporting. Recording a placement does not by itself send email.
License
The commercial right for that organization to use the portal. It has a plan (Partner Shared or Partner Private), a seat limit, an optional end date, and a status of active, expired, or suspended. The organization itself can also be paused or deleted. Any of those inactive states replaces the portal with License inactive. See Plans and licenses.
